Cori Stanley, Secretary                                                                      Board Term: 05/01/2014-04/30/2017

In 2002, I graduated from Simpson College with a bachelor's in K-6 Elementary Education. In 2003, I got married and received my first full-time teaching position.  I spent the next four years at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Des Moines teaching middle school Language Arts.  While teaching at Holy Trinity, I received my Master's Degree at Drake School of Education and had my daughter in 2005.  In 2007, the same year my son was born, I made the jump to the Indianola School District to teach 6th grade Language Arts.  In 2014, I moved to 7th grade Language Arts and am currently still in that position.  I am involved in teaching Sunday School at Luthern Church of Hope, and am a leader for my kids' 4-H group.  My daughter, Hailey, attended VCA from preschool - 5th grade.  My son, Tim, is currently in 4th grade here at VCA.
Wes Blanchard, Treasurer                                                                  Board Term: 05/01/2016-04/30/2019
Hi, I'm Wes Blanchard, and my wife Lynn and I have had our children enrolled at Victory Christian Academy since 2010.  Presently, Daniel is in 7th grade and Anna is in 3rd grade, while our oldest is now at IHS.
We turned to VCA when Adam, our oldest, was heading into the sixth grade.  It seemed he overwhelming number of students he would be a part of might very well allow him to get lost in the shuffle.  So we LOVE the smaller class sizes and teacher-to-student ratio that VCA has.
We immediately saw a distinct difference in the expectations for Anna, our youngest, then in preschool, compared to what our middle child, Daniel, had experienced.  Not only were the curriculum and expectations much higher (and still easily met by the class), but the benefit of learning Bible verses and core Christian principles created a priceless foundation for our children.  I certainly reget not considering VCA for our children sooner in their educational process.
But we're here now and love the camaraderie of the students (and parents) throughout the school.  The children learn about God's Word and world from teachers and staff that care and pray over them daily.  It is heart-warming to hear your child say bedtime prayers for concerns they have heard from their fellow classmates.
I have been on the school board since July of 2012 and appreciate the balance between ministry, education, & business, and that the school board walks alongside the teachers and administration.
Jory Hunerdosse, Member                                                                 Board Term: 05/01/2014-04/30/2017
Jory is a full-time farmer and has also wored as a fire fighter/paramedic.  He is an Iowa State graduate with a degree in Agriculture.  Jory raises corn and soybeans, and he has a 130 heard cow/calf herd.  Jory has three children at VCA.  Aiden is in 7th grade, Meghan is in 5th grade, and Calyn is in 3rd grade.  The Hunerdosse family are members of Cornerstone Family Church in Des Moines, where Jory serves on the board.  Jory is honored to have the opportunity to serve on the VCA School Board for the coming years.
Kevin Gould, Member                                                                       Board Term: 05/01/2017-04/30/2020

Kevin Gould is married to Amanda Gould and has four children.  Tara, 19, a sophomore at Des Moines Area Community College; Keira, 17, a senior at Indianola High School; Jacob, 6, first grade attending Victory Christian Academy; Sarah, 17 months.

Kevin was raised in Washington County, Southeast Iowa and graduated high school in 1996.  Kevin enlisted in the United States Navy from 1996 to 2001 as military police.  Kevin served five years active duty and was deployed overseas twice during that period.  Kevin has a bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Psychology from Buena Vista University.  Kevin is currently employed with the state of Iowa as a Special Agent in the Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI).  Kevin has been with the DCI since 2005.

The Gould family moved into the Indianola Community in 2015.  Jacob started attending Victory Christian Academy last school year as a kindergartener.  The loving Christ centered education and personalized attention have been a massive blessing not only to Jacob, but the entire Gould family.  Kevin sought a position on the school board with the hope of ensuring that more families have the opportunity to be blessed by this great school.  The Gould’s are members at the Indianola Community Church and have been attending for 2 years.
