Fall Kick-Off (Orientation)

VCA Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) schedules a family orientation evening that involves both the Pre-Academy and Academy parents and students.  This is a great way to meet your child's teacher and hear about what your child will be learning throughout the year. 

Log Cabin Days Parade

Please help us show how proud VCA is of our school at the Warren County Log Cabin Day Parade in September!

Veteran’s Brunch

Join VCA, Hy-Vee, and the Indianola Community Church in honoring our local veterans and their spouses at our annual Veterans Day Breakfast & Program.  This event is becoming a favorite amongst the veterans as they are welcomed and served a breakfast, all while listening to a wonderful program put on by the VCA students.   


Christmas Programs

VCA honors Jesus in two separate Christmas programs; one by our Academy and one by our Pre-Academy. & Pre-K  You will be truly blessed by this traditional, genuine CHRISTmas program designed to observe the Reason for the Season! Don't miss this important and meaningful family event.

Science and History Fair

VCA participates each year in the Science and History Fair.  All VCA students are encouraged to participate in it but it is required for the following:
•    3rd grade a science fair project is required 
•    6th grade a history fair project is required 
•    7th through 10th grade an experimental science project is required

Hearts of Fire Banquet

Join VCA for dinner, music and fellowship at our annual Hearts of Fire Banquet (HOF) in February at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Pastoral Center.   Bid on over 100 items such as restaurant gift certificates, hotels, art, and more.  Please see below for more detailed information on our Hearts of Fire Banquet.

Spirit Week

The students of VCA enjoy this annual event (usually the week before Spring Break) put on by the VCA PTF!  The students enjoy days such as Pajama/Crazy Hair Day, Hat Day, -er Day, etc.

Daily themes change annually.

Speech Meet

Speech Meet is required for all students Kindergarten through 8th grade.  VCA welcomes family members to attend this event in April.    


Spring Showcase

Our Academy students and our Pre-Academy & Pre-K students each have a spring musical showcase.  The 3 & 5 Day Pre-K classes also hold their graduation ceremony during their showcase.

Each year Tim McConnell Fine Photography partners with VCA to capture the big day!  Graduation pictures for the 3 & 5 Day Pre-K classes will be taken during your child’s normal school day.  Each child will be photographed in his/her graduation cap and gown for individual photos, a photo with your child’s teacher and a class photo.  

Victory Café 

Each year the Parent Teacher Fellowship provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the Warren County Fair.  We have earned quite a wonderful reputation of providing great food, amazing pies, and incredible service.  All of this is only possible because of the volunteers who give of their talents and are led to be of service to the school and Christ.

Join Victory Christian Academy for 321 Improv, dinner and fellowship at our 7th annual Hearts of Fire Banquet (HOF) to celebrate another year of Christian education at VCA and say thank you to our community for all of their continued support. Our banquet is held at the St. Thomas Pastoral Center-210 R63 Highway, Indianola.  Putney Auction Service has been a part of this event since its inception, and VCA greatly appreciates the donation of their time, efforts and talents. Come prepared to shop the numerous unique items that have been donated for our live and silent auction! Everything from baked goods to Disney Hopper passes! Proceeds from the auction allow VCA to continue to educate through Christ.  We are grateful to all the parents, grandparents, staff and the community members who attend this event and contribute to its success!

Our Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) has worked diligently to obtain diverse items from our families, and our community including time, services and money. This process goes on throughout the year and donations ar welcomed until the date of the event. If you are interested in donating an item/basket, please contact Cori Stanley at (515) 979-0735 or Michelle Dalby at (515) 778-3253.

Dress is casual. This is an alcohol-free event.

Payment (cash, check or credit card) due upon conclusion of auction.  VCA is a 501c3 not-for-profit school. Payment above the stated value of items may be tax deductible.

Hearts of Fire FAQ


1. How much does it cost for a reservation?  It's free! Call the office today to get a seat.

2. Is it meant for parents?  YES!! It's our way of saying thank you for investing in a Christian education! We can't do it alone.

3. Can I bring my kids? It's Valentine's, get out as a couple! Whoop, whoop!!

4. What do I wear?  Some come to dazzle but jeans work, too.

5. What's for dinner? Fancy chicken and vegetables.

6. What will be there to buy?  Cubs decor, customized floor mats, VCA summer care, baked goods, tickets to sporting events and much, MUCH MORE! A detailed list is coming!

7. I don't want to buy anything. What would I do all night?  Enjoy a free meal with friends, family and fellow parents!

8. What is the schedule? Doors open at 5:30. Dinner is at 6:30. Live auction at 8:30. Home by 10:00.

9. Can I sit by friends? YES!! Make reservations for yourself, friends and family.

10. Will I be the only one who doesn't buy something? Nope.
